Survey on print media consumption in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg

1. Selection of participants / Sampling methodology.

The survey is open to participation via three contact methods, the aim being to be as representative as possible of the population surveyed:

2. Who is the data controller and who is involved in data processing?

Médiahuis Luxembourg S.A., EDITA S.A. and EDITPRESS Luxembourg S.A., hereinafter "the Sponsors", are joint controllers of the personal data required for this survey:

The Sponsors have entrusted the survey to ILRES S.A., a survey institute based at L-8070 Bertrange, 41, rue du Puits Romain, which therefore acts as a data processor. For more information about ILRES: dpo@ilres.com.

ILRES is responsible for soliciting participation in the survey using the various methods mentioned in point 1 above, collecting the responses provided by the participants, analysing these responses, anonymising them and sending the results and anonymised data to the Sponsors.

For MyPanel members (ILRES panellists) and with regard to their e-mail address and socio-demographic data processed to select the persons invited to this survey, ILRES is solely responsible for processing this personal data for selection purposes. . For further details regarding the processing carried out by ILRES on its panellists, please refer to the notice available online at https://ilres.lu/, under the heading "MyPanel members (online surveys)".

For those who are offered participation by telephone, you will find full details of how ILRES generates and dials the numbers it contacts and your rights in the notice posted on the https://ilres.lu/, page, under the "How ILRES S.A. uses your telephone number" tab.

3. What personal data will be processed, and for what purposes?

The purpose of the processing involved in this survey is to obtain reliable data on the audiences for press titles for media planning purposes, which involves understanding the socio-demographic profiles of consumers of the various press titles and how often they consult these various media.

To achieve this objective, depending on the methodology chosen, different types of data need to be processed:

4. What is the legal basis for this processing of personal data?

The processing of personal data involved in this study is based on the consent of the person contacted, which is requested at the beginning of the questionnaire.

You are of course free to refuse to take part in the survey and there will be no consequences, except of course the inability to claim the reward given to participants.

5. Who will have access to the personal data processed?

The personal data and information processed by ILRES will be stored via a Cloud system on servers located within the European Union. The Cloud service provider on which this information is stored has contractually agreed with ILRES not to use this data for its own purposes, as access is only necessary for the maintenance of the servers.

ILRES uses data collection software provided by NIPO Software BV, located at Amsteldijk 166, 1079 LH Amsterdam. This company will process pseudonymised data for the sole purpose of providing access to its online data collection software, without this supplier having access to respondents' e-mail addresses. Pseudonymised data is data to which a code/pseudonym is assigned, i.e. data that does not include your identifying data such as your e-mail address.

IILRES will send the data in pseudonymised form to the limited company Kantar Insights, established at B-1210 Saint-Josse-ten-Noode, 4-10 boulevard Saint-Lazare. Kantar Insights will analyse the data but will not be able to identify the participants.

Only anonymous and aggregated data will be sent to the Sponsors.

6. Are the personal data transferred outside the European Union territory

The personal data processed will not leave the territory of the European Union.

7. How long will personal data be processed?

ILRES will anonymise the data processed as soon as possible after the end of the survey, at the latest within six months of your participation.

8. What are your rights ?

All persons whose personal data is processed as part of the survey may exercise the rights set out below, in accordance with the conditions laid down in the General Data Protection Regulation:

9. How to exercise these rights?

You may submit any request relating to your rights listed above to the ILRES Data Protection Officer, either by post to ILRES, 41, rue du Puits Romain, L-8070 Bertrange, or by e-mail to DPO@ilres.com.

Please note, however, that as this data is collected without the respondent's identity being collected, processing this request will require at least the participant's e-mail address or, depending on the method of contact, their telephone number.

Please also note that the data collected will be rendered anonymous as soon as possible. It is therefore possible that this data will already have been rendered anonymous by the time you make your request, in which case your request will become pointless.

In any event, a reply will always be sent to you as soon as possible and, except in special circumstances of which you will then be informed, no later than one month following receipt of your request.
